Honestly never did this sort of auction so would you recommend removing the time limit? I had set that in place purely because I figured players would prefer that as to not. More than happy to edit if it keeps the fun going haha

Maybe some background information for AO' without judging him or anything: These are so-called sniper auctions. People can keep the bids low and if you know, you will be there at the finishing time, you can expect that competition might be unable to react to the last (small) increase a few secs before the end. These type of auctions are very rare here and I as a EU player never bid on these.
Generally people put a timer that starts after the most recent bid. So if it goes say 24 hours without a new bid, the standing bid takes it.
