Hey all! When I start messing with deco, I always end up forgetting which craftable addons are which. As an aide to this, I have a quickie reference I've put together. I've broken them down based on what menu they are found on when crafting. Hopefully, others will find it helpful as well! Edited to add resource and skill requirements per item. Some notes about craftable house add-ons here on UOR: - To remove an addon, doubleclick an axe and target the addon - Housing Addons that have been crafted can be re-deeded for 24 hours - If you use an axe on a housing addon that has been placed for less than 24 hours, it will immediately re-deed into your backpack - If you use an axe on a housing addon that has been placed for more than 24 hours, you will be prompted that the item will be destroyed - The above rules only apply to craftable housing addons, as listed below. BOD rewards, holiday rewards and platinum rewards that are deeded will always be re-deedable - Housing addons do not take a lockdown slot in your house. This can be used to your advantage in houses with low amounts of lockdowns. This can be helpful in deciding east/south and knowing where to target: http://uo.stratics.com/addon/index.shtml
Thanks for the link! Thats a good method for determining placement. Though, truth be told, being that we've got the 24 hour window for placement here, I tend to go for the brute force method myself. This would definitely be a lot cleaner and faster!
Thanks Corruption, very helpful ! Gotta be a little German though. There's a typo in the Smithy section. J) is a small forge.
I figured out a trick I used to know which facing addon you need, although I'm never sure the right way to put it into words. I'll try though. From what I can tell, the direction indicates the "useable" side. Look at a loom East. Now, if you were standing in front of that loom, where would you stand to use it? Would you stand on the south end of the loom or would you stand on the east side of the loom? Large forge: standing on the end of a forge wouldn't make much sense, so if you want a forge that goes east and west, you'd get a South large forge, since the "Use" part would face south. Now, with beds, the game developers apparently decided that you use the bed from the foot, because this is where the direction applies for beds. The foot of a large bed south points south. hope this helps.
I always do the same as well... but I've always found a visual reference easier, esp. when I'm in the middle of a long deco run. Your description is pretty spot on though, and I'm pretty sure it was the intentions of the developers... but I still get confused from time to time
Here are some Oak items that were added in later, that I was not able to find pictures of when searching UOR A-Oak Large Naked Bed, Facing South B-Oak Large Unmade Bed, Facing South C-Oak Large Unmade Bed With Pillows, Facing South D-Oak Large Bed With Sheets, Facing South E-Oak Small Naked Bed, Facing South F-Oak Small Unmade Bed, Facing South G-Oak Small Unmade Bed With Pillow, Facing South H-Church Pew, Facing East
