Hi there! I think I am going to give this server a try with my now teenage daughter. It will be her first time playing UO and it was this or UO second age. I have a few questions. 1. Is there room on the shard for housing still? 2. Is there a lot of toxicity out there? Are we likely to get repeatedly ganked the first time we hit Shame for some Earth Elementals? Thanks!
1 - You can find spots to place up to a villa or so easily enough. Larger houses are trickier but outside of prime/unique spots they are cheap enough to buy on the trade forum. 2 - This is by far one of the friendlier UO servers. There is the odd asshole but they are very much in a minority. I came here from UOSA and the general attitude here is much more positive. Welcome. Edit - Probably worth adding that I've got two younger kids playing here and they've had no problem other than seeing the odd bit of inappropriate language.
Large houses are placeable, if you ask in discord some veteran players might know a spot or two. I know a few places where you can place a Lshaped two story. Some pks here will gate you out or res and give your regs back. The community here is super nice.
no, you will have to save up money and buy a small keep from a player. It’s a good goal to work towards.
1. I've been able to place several small houses and I see room for small to mediums all the time. 2. My experience here has been completely positive. I've played on a handful of other free servers and this by far has the best community.
