MOONGLOW LOGCABIN SHOP Just put in backpack no need to lock it. If someone snoop you bag and click the box the explotion goes off. Remember to keep the weight of the box over what is possible to steal Thanks!
This used to be my favorite thing ever. Can you safely open the box as the owner, ie if it’s in your bag? if I die with the box on my corpse, will it kill whoever looted it, ie if it’s my loot bag, I get PK’d will the pk die when it opens?
I was about to post this doesn't work.... But there had been some patches/updates lately so I figured i would try it. Interestingly - I don't know if a change had been made. - Snooping a GM trapped chest killed me. - The carrier of the chest has to lock it to "Enable" the trap, but then unlock it to use it which "disables" the trap to the user. But while its unlocked it is the only way to snoop it, and it still kills the snooper. - The trapped box yields NO murder counts - The unlocked chest on a corpse does not have an "enabled" trap and wont kill anyone I'm not sure if this is an error in a patch, but it literally instantly kills who ever snoops you, while acting as a normal container for the person.
All right. In order for you to use the box yourself, you must carry it in an unlocked state. 1) We use the skill explosive trap on the box. 2) If successful, close this shit with a key and the trap turns on. 3) We use the Unlock spell on the box. Now your box can be used by you as a wrapping bag. I set up a bunch of agents and use it comfortably. For 4 years now I have been getting blasted asses of these bastard bastards and 99% protected from thieves! I experimented with poison and the thief could not cure it and died like a sick dog ... Try it too.
I think somebody made a video about it many many years ago. Was somebody from the - 3- crew, think it was on @Isabel
ive been using this method since i played uo on my toons as a way to help against snooping thieves. it works well and ive had no issues with it. thieves are curious by nature so they will peep every thing you have. also gives you a good laugh in the process when it blows up and the thief dies lol. you wont get counts.
I remember folks would drop these on dragon corpses/other high-end monsters just as they'd drop dead. The chests were all loaded full of pitchers of water or whatever seemed heavy and valuable. Oh, to think of all those poor, poor bards! :'(
I have been doing this on my characters for well over a year already. I love how they have no idea why they instantly blew up.
