I'm proposing we allow all character types to ride frenzied ostards. I like the look and fighting ability of frenzies but I feel they have become rather useless due to the fact they require taming (70-ish?) to ride... and nearly all tamers ride mares. I believe opening up this mount to all character types would create a fun play style for new players and role players alike. Plus, I think my mage would look good on a dark maroon frenzy :)

    What do you think?

I prefer it to be tamer-only. Is it lame that 99% of tamers ride the same thing? Yes. But that means the one tamer that doesn't get to do something special.

I think there's a faction you can join in which you can have a maroon mount.

I suppose I would like tamers to be able to friend mounts to non tamer characters. But the character that its friended shouldn't be able to bond it.

I don't disagree but egular Ostards look almost the same and come in a verity of colors albeit not in the cool black hue so I guess IDGAF lol

If I had to choose I would go with agree since I don't see a harm

    disagree
frenziend ostards are too strong for non tamers
if frenzied ostards could be commanded by non tamers they could use pack instict of them to act like a tamer (8 frenzied easily kill any strong monsters)

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the required taming be lower, somewhere around 40-50 skill, so there's really a mid-ground mount to be on while you develop your character. That would even allow for someone more into RP to shift some skill points around and handle such a mount.

I think if/when mount/mounted fatigue is implemented, this would be much more significant, if the mount type has a variable for such a mechanic.

I think that friending unskilled characters to mounts can be done within reason. It should require regular check in with the actual mount owner and perhaps some other requirements to keep it from going wild as it wouldn't be as 'comfortable' with a friend as it is with its master.

I agree. That's not my intention at all. Maybe there would be some way to increase the control slot of frenzies to ~7 if the pet owner has less than 65 taming?

this is a really interesting idea which could be applied across the board to all tamables

It makes sense that for a less skilled tamer it would be harder to control multiple pets so each pet's control difficulty would be higher.

Then you wouldn't be able to summon demons, multiple blade spirits/EVs, etc.

Make them ridable.by non tamers but only listen to commands with taming.

I would love this, agree completely. No need for the tamers to disagree you already get everything handed to you.

I'd like to see more frenzies. I'm getting tired of eating horse meat.
