hi everyone i just started on this shard! i have a question. why weapons does so low damage? when i create my character my tactics was 0 and against monster of occlo sewer i use to deal only 5 damage, but why i still deal 5-7 damage with 60 tactics 50 anatomy and 70 macefighting? 0.o (my weapon is not damaged)
Welcome to the shard braccobaldo! All weapons wear out over time with use (pretty quickly too it seems). You need to get it repaired or replaced. Also, try using a new magic or GM/Exceptional weapon. There are vendors throughout the newby isle that have good macing weapons for a fairly low price.
Check the white marble house next to the Ocllo bank. The vendor named Ahave has Force weapons for cheap (300gp) that will do you quite nicely for starting out.
Welcome to UO Renaissance. Also make sure to keep your weapon in good shape as that has an effect on damage as well.
Exceptional weapons make a big difference too. I'm sure there is a vendor on Occllo that sells them, you'll notice your damage go up by 2-4 points per hit with an exceptional weapon. Also remember that 60 Tactics isn't a whole lot. At 100 tactics and anatomy, you'll be doing more than 1.5x the damage you're doing now.
