    When is that the rule? As far as I know its always been 48 for single so It gives time for people to bid and 24 for multiple bids as you know wtf you are bidding on and should know if you can out bid it within 24 hours

    Even stated in Auction Basics

    24hr rule = High bid has to stand unchallenged for 24 hours. if someone out bids it within that 24hrs, the clock restarts.
    48hr rule = High bid has to stand unchallenged for 48 hours. if someone out bids it within that 48hrs, the clock restarts.

    Tips/Tricks
    Most auctions will say 48hr if one bidder, 24hr if more than one. That gives 48hrs for as many to see the auction as possible as we are NOT all sitting around our screens waiting on an auction to magically appear. After 2 bidders, auctioneers do not want to wait forever for the auction to end so they switch to 24hr rule.

    RMarc69 is correct, goddangit I always forget what's what with the 24/48 rule. For reference here's what everyone uses including on this auction:

    https://uorforum.com/threads/auction-basics.25459/

    It's as Rmarc says, his bid stood and he is the winner!

    I always thought 24/48 means 24 hours after bid if only 1 person, if multiple people then it's 48 hours after the last bid. That's why I always do my auctions as 24 hours after last bid no matter how many there are

    You called it out as 24/48 and that has always been single/multi

    I've always specified 24/48 rules on my auctions and never had any confusion (save for the occasional forgetting which is which). The rules are specified in the auction sticky from 2017, I don't plan on switching this up now. Moving forward I'll try to remember to write the rule as "48/24" to avoid confusion!

    Sorry Larloch no one does 24 hrs for single and 48 for multiple. Just doesn't make sense. Doesn't matter how you arrange the numbers its all the same.

    Are you referring to the "tips and tricks"? Even by this verbiage it doesn't state in which order. Below are tags of auctions that have ended within the last month. I welcome their opening of their own rules take from their own auctions.

    @Jill Stihl - Ends 48 hours after first bid or 24 hours after last bid if there are multiple bidders.
    @Clare Torry - "Rules: 24/48" <------ single/multi or multi/single?
    @Reginald - "24/24" <------ single/multi or multi/single?
    @hetmasteen - "48/24" <------ single/multi or multi/single?

    Since picture are worth a thousand words. the below is taken from the same "rules" thread you keep referring to. @LanDarr @Chris
