Here's a list of some issues that I've noticed in my short tenure here on UOR, and some simple changes to potions that could potentially rejuvenate PvP interactions in Sosaria.

    Problem:
Stat shaping is irrelevant. If someone's stats are intentionally altered to strengthen mind blast, they simply chug a str/agi potion. There is no need to pay attention to how your stats are being controlled, there is a spammable 1 button fix.

Problem 2: If a mage would like a brief reprieve from being slapped by someone with 120 str/dex, and they utilize the weaken spell, clumsy, or curse spell; the dexxer can simply chug right back to an exceptional vanquishing axe wielding juggernaut.

    Solution:

    AGI/STR CD
    Currently: 0
    Suggested: 10 seconds
    --

Problem: Stun mages have infinite attempts to stun, making the choice to use their stun less skillful/measured than it should be.

    Solution:

    Total Refresh CD
    Currently: 0
Suggested: 10 seconds -- (potentially raise stun/disarm success rate by 5-10%)
    --

Problem: Poison is nearly irrelevant, both as a spell and a skill. If someone becomes poisoned, they simply chug until the poison is mitigated. The ability to alleviate a poison is certainly necessary, but allowing it the chance to tick a few times (and forcing mages to cast cure) puts needed weight behind casting the spell/utilizing the skill.

    Solution:

    Cure CD
    Currently: 0
    Suggested: 2 seconds
    --

Problem: Weaving an explosion potion into a spell chain is a skillful way to surprise your foe with unexpected damage. Throwing explosion potions after EVERY spell cast substitutes mindful and calculated actions with razor macros.

    Solution:

    Explosion CD
    Currently: 0
    Suggested: 6

Making these changes, in my opinion, could: revive a stale pvp meta, put our brains back into pvp, and make a wider array of pvp builds not only viable, but potentially exciting to take into the field.

    Thanks for reading.

Anything that would make a nox mage viable gets a high five from me.

    This would be so awesome..

    I really like that idea..

I also have some Issues with the use of G-wands

I would like to some change that would make the G-wands less useful..

I would also like to see a cooldown on potions as suggested. Currently my nox mage only works after poison is casted 10-15 times and the other player runs out of cure pots lol. In general, potions combine with wands will make or break your pvp game. I learned early on in 2015 that players who ganked me always won because I never farmed while carrying loads of potions and wands. The advantage gained by these expendable type items is massive.

It wouldn't be popular with many, but I would also suggest a movement delay for using a potion or wand. Currently you can run at full speed while chugging potions and casting powerful spells like lightening and Gheal, no delays, no mana cost, no interruption.
