Hi, After returning to Renaissance after a long hiatus and enjoying it greatly I have fallen victim to a couple of exploits in the last few days that I can't imagine are the system working as designed. 1) If one stands 'safely' within one's house while next to the wall, if another player sets off a purple potion just next to the wall, one will take damage. 2) Houses with an open foyer (like the ground floor of the small marble house) can be turned into a trap by locking down tables and other furniture in a row just inside the perimeter. One can wander in chasing a monster that was conveniently trapped there and be unable to get out, only to be then slaughtered by reds, essentially a trap. And I can confirm as a ghost one can't get out either (see screenshot). Thanks
1 has always been like that and is very well known. Don't idle next to walls and it's fine. 2 is an ore elemental trap house, not intended to trap curious players. If you get stuck in one logging out then straight back in will put you outside the house. Welcome back.
Everything is good. Use what you understand and have fun. And all serious and real exploits have been fixed for a very long time. Welcome back to potatoes sir.
Would a second floor of a building, like a 2 story house or tower, be safe? Much appreciate the replies. I have a lot to (re)learn!
With the Small Marble Workshops, I also learned the hard way that you could be looted thru the wall on the bottom floor. Since moving things to the 2nd and 3rd floor for locked down storage, I've been fine.
