Rare Camping

What can be done against a player I am certain is camping a spawning rare location? Besides allowing the AFK gathering system to hopefully jail them.

Depends on the strength of your desire.You can leave it and continue playing holy Ultima on a beautiful shard. Or you can get a person's mail and after stealing all his valuables, delete his characters.

You can use a flare gun, or you can let fate return everything to him with a boomerang when he is in jail.

Camping rares does not violate any posted rules. Staff will do nothing.

Let me know the spot via PM and I will go Poison field them

Just post the location in the PVP channel, the PK's will come for them quick.

But how to go about using these methods when they are within a guard zone surrounded by npcs?

People seems to gate in/out, cast poison field and drop it on the person, die and come back and repeat until victory.

Never tried myself but that's the gist of it

I used to use this method against AFK rare spawners and AFK fishers on SA except I would make a newbie mage to cast poison on them which would go through but result in an insta-whack. Then I would pop in through a gate with another character to toss a grenade at their feet and go back before it closed. I was under the impression that this type of behavior was against the rules on this server though.

I thought that AFK resource gathering WAS against the rules. Can I get a link to the rules? Maybe I misread it and I would like to read over them.

I have been prompted several times so it seems to be activating. I think it's very creative and I applaud it, although I can imagine situations where I accidently click a spot in space to say, Recall, and now it's an incorrect answer. Don't get me wrong, I think it is great. So is that to say that if I suspect someone of rare camping, I have no recourse except to allow the automated system? Not trying to have an attitude, legitimately asking.

Correct, Trust in the AFK system.

Its not illegal to camp a rare spawn spot. The method you use to do so "MAY" be. If there is a live toon just standing there with the item on scavenge, not illegal. The AFK system will handle those situations.

If them camping the spot in some way offends you, then you can kill them. Reporting them will not result in staff taking any action if they are not doing anything illegal.

I meant to say that I am certain he is AFK rare spawn camping.

But I do understand the answer to this question now so thank you to everyone for explaining.
