    I don't think we should necessarily blame the victim entirely, lets not go that far. But what I'd like to see, and I'm sure a lot of the PK's would actually like to see this as well, is some retaliation. If you've banked your gold every 1-2k you'll be in a better position mentally and weight wise to fight back.

    I try to inspire people to learn how to hunt/farm/whatever, so that they can be prepared to attack back.

    I used to think that what bugged me most about PK's was the thought of somebody laughing at my dead body on the other side of a screen somewhere. But I've realized, the thing that really bugs me, is that in most cases they win because I wasn't even trying to fight back. For many in UO there is no 'Fight or Flight' it's just "Flight".

    I'm not blaming the individual victims so much as the playstyle which encourages people to be victims. TBH, I don't think PK's would be so prevalent if every time they killed someone, all they got was 1-2 kills worth of gold, and 10 of each reg. Especially if they know that instead of coming to the forums or IRC to cry the sweet tears they love so much, that you just used another toon to gate you back to town, res'd up, and recouped your losses in like 5 mins. Living well is the best revenge after all. They'd be a really rare breed if most people rolled 3-4 deep into dungeons, and they knew there was a good chance that group would queue up mana drains and flamestrikes the moment a red name appeared, going for broke just to get one of them into statloss.

    And let's be honest here. There's no real reason to PK other than the thrill, the tears, and loot pinatas. No one is sitting at their keyboard all stoic and blank-faced, doing their due diligence as a PK just to keep the economy in balance, or add a sense of danger to the dungeon for the benefit of other players. By not being a good victim, you make PK'ing a difficult choice of profession.

    In a guard zone, with a newbie dagger, on my mage with no fencing or tactics, and I didn't get guard whacked.

    Would have killed him prior to the transfer but I really wanted that llama.
