Keza's Ultra Plat Sink Auction - Event!

So you admit you didn't read it, and now your assuming and proposing that I am some kind of beneficiaries to this? Put the drugs down man........ I haven't even talked to Kez, in what, 9 months at least? Not sure why you're coming to conclusions when you're clearly wrong.

Yeah.. wonder why people don't wanna be staff here, and staff leaves.. They get attacked by all angles, no ones ever happy.. I mean I'm just as guilty as anyone for getting upset about rewards never getting updated, but I mean gotta give these guys credit to, they work their butts off for all of us.

This is a nice way to reward a certain group for farming for so long under the guise of a quit playing auction. As mentioned may as well just give it away without wasting time with the plat sink, but cute way to keep things above the table. Kudos.

Just to get some things on record, I have already done several things to help plat enter the game outside of the champ system. New bosses, new hidden treasures, new events. I cannot alter the champ system, nor can I alter the plat store or update those core systems. Yes, a change to those would be far more beneficial then this auction. However, those things are beyond me, this auction is the best I can do to help.

Am I getting this conspiracy right?! Keza just wanted to create an auction knowing that only people in his group would win the items and would redistribute the Plat back to them after winning and not actually sinking?

I'm wondering what the win would be here for Keza to do that instead of just distributing the rares amongst his group.

Does this not give others the opportunity to bid on these items, or are we only concerned about our own feelings?

Haha, yes I spent hour and hours of time organizing items and taking screen shots for that exact reason! Its all good, I expected this auction would cause some drama given the servers current platinum distribution. Just remember, in real life 1% of the population controls 90% of the wealth, thats capitalism!

Everyone should give you 50 plat who comments they want in, then they get a random item(s). Way easier and fairer to sink plat. We all have 50 plat.

Even a 100 plat or 150 plat a person is fair.

This has nothing to do with personal feelings. The win here is obviously for his buddies. Bid? Sure! Win? Yea, we'll see. Something tells me the guys with tens of thousands of plat just might win anything worth a damn. We can all pretend this isn't cooked up to finally soak some of that useless plat certain people have been farming so hard for and put goodies into Keza's pals hands.

FWIW Keza is the main reason I even started playing here years ago, and for the most part I respect his efforts. That said over the years I've seen things done to and for folks that breaks the line between GM and player many times. As mentioned this is just a fun way to reward his buddies for their farming and keep things above the table.

Not going to bother arguing it further and not trying to convince anyone either way, just calling it out. Pretending it's anything but is disingenuous. Appreciate the QUICK responses and glad this auction is meeting expectations. Happy bidding!

3. Keza creates plat sink to try his best and even that out.

last time keza was involved in PWN was his payout on sept 17th 2020. he left pwn long before PWN that. Eventually PWN was archived in the history of UOR and shortly after ONE was created by 3 idiots and keza wasnt never any of the members.


as a matter of fact, keza didnt like PWN at its end so he left prior to the end of it.

Why are folks so greedy and toxic? From what I've seen Keza's been trying to promote this server and educate people on it's particular mechanics. He's put in the time and effort to acquire these items and they're his to do with as he pleases. It appears to me that he is trying to do something that is beneficial to the whole server without playing favorites with particular individuals, yet people seem to attribute some sort of hostile or malicious intent to his actions. This seems to be more of a reflection of their own motives and intentions than his own. Unfortunately this gives the appearance of a toxic community that reflects poorly upon the server as a whole and surely demotivates new people from joining our community.

Sorry to see you step away, I haven't been here long but from reading through articles and watching your videos, you've been a huge impact here. So thank you for all your work, truly!

As I am new here, I can see where both sides are coming from. It's your shit, feel free to do with it what you want, and I really think you have good intentions (as demonstrated by everything you've done/are doing for the server.) On the other hand, the only people who have a lot of plat/can outbid people easily are going to gain most from this, as what they're bidding on will retain the value (for rares and high end stuff). On top of that, deleting all the plat received will only make plat more "rare", as there will be less of it out in the world, no? I mean, I'm sure it's not really going to affect the market too much, but the notion is there.

I wonder, and I have no idea if it would be feasible or how you would even go about doing it, but a redistribution of plat would drive down plats value/demand, or even get rid of it through (newer) players using the plat to buy rewards that they haven't been able to achieve as of yet. Or maybe redistribute the plat so it's tied to that account and only able to be used for rewards... just a thought.

Edit: This would probably be much more work for you, but it could get more plat out of the game and allow newer players to participate. Do the normal auction for rares and high end stuff as normal, but then take that plat and create a raffle out of it. Say for 20 (or any number) plat, young characters/newer accounts can purchase a raffle ticket, and if they win you can get them something from the plat reward system. It puts more items into the shard sure, but also pulls more plat out (from the auction, and from the raffle). But, also a shit ton more work for you lol

<<< You're actually right in part, but this thread is a little hard to understand and might seem toxic to someone who doesn't know the long, long road of pre-history and the many repressions that took place along the way. I'm sure you'd be able to look at it the other way as well as read between the lines of some of the posts if you had the full eight year picture. The community is good, everything is related to the usual competition, guild wars, personal differences for various reasons, economics, as well as subtle issues and undercover games.
