I think 2132 gold actually would be pretty good, despite being kinda close to gold ore you can still see a difference, easily with both present. Also 1994 'cream pimp suit'
I plinked around a bunch on test, and ya, the options that aren't overly extreme, yet still cool are starting to become thin. 1171 is pretty awesome and we haven't used it yet.. https://www.uorenaissance.com/itemdetails/Hue/1171/1 1171 We have used 1172 (4th anny red, but they are not close in color) I think my second choice would be teal 2966
I like the pastel hues more, but still most you were testing are cool, except for pets, looks good on clothes/items but pets are too big and look weird, totally out of place compared with the color pallet of entire game. If we remove pets from the screenshots almost all are acceptable. Pets were not dyed on past anniversaries, and I believe that's how we got cool hues, ie 2nd, 3rd, 4th.... really cool hues, but apply to pets and they look horrible. As we discussed on discord we are going to miss the chance of a nice hue just because it looks too non-UOR or bad on pets. If pet dyes is a must, pick an alternative hue for them, even some of the standard dye tub hues must look great on horses/dragons. I hope it helps
I’m in 100% agreement. I think the pet dyes are over the top, and really take away from the more classic feel of what UOR is supposed to be. Mostly the dragons. I can tolerate a colored horse here and there, if tastefully done and it’s not a neon horse. If we are going to go the pet route for ridables, I think an ethy option would be nice, rather than only mares as in the past.
Exactly. I really don’t like the idea of “Wow this hue is amazing and lots of people seem to love it! But we can never possibly go this route because it looks too wonky on dragons.” Exactly like Buga said, the reason we were able to get awesome unique (and honestly fairly over the top) hues in the past like 2nd Vesper & Blaze was because nobody had to worry about gigantic blaze Dragons walking around lol
I agree with @Pill @Buga and @StarTrakZack... Pet dyes defining the color is bad for the variety, thats why in the past some dyes were restricted to certain colors of dragons, because they would look like shit or weird on the other variant... We would never have 4th anni red if pet dyes were in the line back then, and its one of the most amazing colors. Also 1242 purple is TOO CLOSE from 1237 which was 2022 easter color, that should never be acceptable, also we had 2 purples last year (magenta and velvet merlot) so purples should get back in the line for a new hue
