Nobody here PvPs with dexxers so this idea aligns with the shard vision of PvM first. Can you please make parry useful?
There is a planned update to parry @Caramon II but its behind CuB and a number of other things in Telamons to-do list. I made a video to document the current status of parry in some AMIB gameplay. Next year or later when the parry update goes live I plan to run the AMIBs again to see just how improved it is.
+5% dmg to single handed weapons when shield is equiped Or just correct the mechanics and not just add more armor...
I like that the most of everything I’ve heard. It makes the most sense — blocking’s an incoming fire breath with your shield. It may change the landscape slightly for tamer builds and give those who frequently fight dragons a bit of help there. Parry is still very effective against melee weapons but I don’t see how having a shield would make you magically reflect spells all of a sudden. In fact that could make it too strong. The only real gripe here is that dexxers are not prevalent enough and thus parry isn’t as useful.
parry + resist = spell reflect or evade ability (evade 1 spell) - loss of (x) stamina when successfully evading parry + wrestling + magery = cast with shield in hands

I use for everything... is a very flexible char... the poisoning helps me with mobs with magery and i have some good slayers do make scrolls and events... I had a few pvp experiences with him, and is very efficient, specially in closed arenas. With some explosion pots(what i still doesn't know how to use efficiently) you could have a good chance of success. Gheal Pots and mini heals helps a lot to survive the damage Dumps. Is a nice template, i hope the changes in parrying comes to make it more efficient at pvp. And about parrying(i have a good experience) you see the benefit mostly in pvm, when you are surrounded for one or more attackers, beating you at the same time. OBS: i use lesser poison, the idea is not kill by the poison hit, but just to poison the opponent continuously... magery mobs simply bug and spend all his mana trying to heal themselves.
Would be cool to see it effective enough to tank stuff that only dragons can tank right now. But that could have some unintended consequences I guess.
In the era of this shard, years ago on OSI shards a "roach mage" was a rare but viable PvP template, i.e. a 5x mage with parry (and it had variations). I tried one once, and it was quite fun to play
