What idocs? I checked all the houses within probably a 5 screen radius of the trinsic moongate and there was only 1 greatly. Not a single idoc.
I love announcing IDOCs! Especially when it gets the attention of whoever owns the house(s) and they refresh everything at the last minute after multiple reds have died fighting over it and have gone deep into stat loss.
Stat loss is sort of a problem if you're camping an IDOC because of the time factor. If you die the house isn't exactly going to wait for you to retrain your skills back up before all the loot falls to the ground. But yeah, normally death in this game is a joke.
The point I like to make about announcing IDOCs either in IRC or the UORForums is that someone may have spent a decent amount of their day finding this place, camping it and preparing to get the majority of the loot. Then some a**hole decides to ruin this prize for him/her. Its like giving someone an insider trading tip and then announcing it publicly.
If that "a**hole" found it too, he can do whatever he wants with the info. IDOCers profit from people leaving the shard. Pretty hard to take the moral high ground, IMO.
It's not like these are places out in the middle of nowhere that you would have to blow hours of search time into finding. These places are literally next to the moongate. It took me maybe all of ten seconds to find these in the first place after I got out of the Trinsic moongate. Nobody ever goes to Trinsic because it's such a terrible town so it wasn't hard to figure out why reds were hanging around the gate.
