    Hello All -

UO Addict coming back for a fix of old time excellence! I played UO both on official servers and unofficial servers for well over 5 years and have never found an experience like it.

I'm looking forward to meeting some of you in game!

    A couple questions:

    1. For someone starting from scratch, what is a great way to get a head start on crafting/gold?
    2. Where do people hang? I'm looking to make some great friends!

Start a character with 50 Magery and 50 Taming.
Page a GM to unlock your starting gold.
Train Musicianship and Provocation to 30 from NPCs
    Spend remaining gold on instruments.
Train Provocation at the Moonglow Zoo until you hit mid-70s Provo.
GM Provo at the Occlo Provo house, or in the field on anything from ogres and up (the latter making the most gold).
Train Taming with the money made as a bard.
Buy pretty clothes, make a dexxer for RP, retire to a life of splendor.

    Welcome to Renaissance!

    Everyone hangs out in IRC:

If you have any interest in RP get a hold of me. There are some stuff that will be starting soon and there is a presence of RP here already.

    Welcome to the server!!!

Crafter - start w/ tailoring for quick gold and get a leg up on the Bulk Order system

Mining/LJ has some pretty decent afk checks (no resource gathering afk) to be aware of. You can macro it - just be watching the computer.

Welcome aboard Rottingham! Glad to have you with us.. Remember to check out our IRC channels and our Compendium.

Most people hang out at either Occlo Bank, West Britain bank, and the Ice Dungeon.

    Hi Rottingham, welcome to UOR

Here you can afk skills using Razor macros. If that is your play style...Some folks prefer the older ways of raising skills. :)
Making a all crafter character with enough magery to recall and/or use gate scrolls, for me is a fun character. I leave off
lumbering-jacking and fletcher for my dexter. Since lumber-jacking compliments those skills. One reason I make an all
crafter is so that I can be independent, get Bulk Order Deeds. If get tired of tailoring, can do miner/smith..etc.
Again it depends on your personal goal for the game and your individual play style.
I think you shall enjoy it here. Our great staff has furnished this world so that there are lot of things to do for all play styles.
The community here is great folks. A couple of hints. Do not carry rune books in your inventory, they are not blessed. If you aquire a boat or house deed, you can
carry in inventory, but do not place in any sort of container as the cantainer can be taken, thus your deed with it.

Anyway...have a grand time and be safe. I am Westra on Irc.
