I found some things! (and another boat)

I was hanging out in Occlo the other day when a gate opened up. As a recently GM thief, I eagerly stealth through and end up hidden on a doorstep east of Minoc.


After a few minutes, the owner leaves with some dragons while his other character is left macroing alone in the house. I fail to stealth in but am not revealed. On his return 30 minutes later, I easily make my way inside and remain hidden in a corner.


He leaves once again and I begin rummaging through his bags, nicely laid out for my viewing. Not much besides some slayer instruments, easter eggs, 5 platinum and 10K in gold – all I can carry given my paltry strength. Nonetheless a solid first score!



The resulting IRC chat was quite amusing. I sat back and read as the victim vented in anonymity, knowing that I would expose him soon enough...

Fun at the Rikktor Spawn!



Something was going on here! Why I think that? Well, for instance, because of Jakes Corpse.

Or because of the presence of the famous ArchTamer Squad!



And some other famous characters too: the beautiful "Miss-Piggy-Pinky" Onions and "Every-Minute-Hardcore" Cyrus.



Jake re-appeared. And he got his 'big boy' with him. I instantly switched from following the Archer Squad to stalking Jake. I had this feeling this would be more profitable... it was:



So yeah, first score and nobody was thinking of me. I found out that they thought that the NPCs around them took the agapite. Nope.

Somehow Cyrus was put out of his hardcore mode, but there was no way to get to his corpse (Memo to myself: I really need to alter the size of dragons). As he plays very safe, there wouldn't have been plats to steal anyway.



But I was able to learn Cyrus' gate point (Roof of the Eastern Trinsic Bank). Apart from that, I saw that the ArchTamer Squad was occasionally turning grey. That's pretty convenient:



On my way, ElleFeyRa was a bit unfortunate to cross my path and he got his reg pack stolen.



Rikktor was about to drop in the meantime. And Vella retired his ArchTamer squad and was prepared for a pesty thief honest business man like me. So I positioned myself on the East Trinsic Bank Roof and waited for Cyrus to appear. To be honest, I was very worried about the Guard there, but trying and dying is better than not trying at all. The gate opened eventually and I wasn't fast enough to target any plats. But to my surprise Cyrus dropped ~9k in front of my feet and disappeared again. Thanks alot for the generous offer.



Afterwards, a direct jump into the gate, quick scavenging and fast recall --> Bank account: + 13k.



I returned and I didn't think, I would find anything more there. True, the Rikktor spawn was cleaned out. But there was a gate! Perhaps to the East Trinsic Bank Roof again? W T F! Vellas CY --> pure adrenaline rush. I know, he is tracking, so no need to hide and hope for being missed. I quickly put my bags full with some Skulls of Greed and then... DIEEEE. These cursed skulls made me greedy, ah heck, who cares. It's always fun to be stomped and burned to death by some big bulky dragons Nightmares, isn't it?



PS: Vella afterwards donated a dozen Skulls of Greed for the decoration of the 5D headquarter. That's probably Vs style of cleaning his CY. Thanks alot man! See you at the next Champ Spawn!

Last night was rough for Jake. Bumboozle and Wasp were in Occlo last night. Long story short, that agapite axe was destined for 5D hands. At least he got to swing it a few times.

What in the world is going on with all of those dire wolves and silver serpent?

Makes sense for dire wolves (though I still don't understand what the purpose of penning them all in there is - and as the resident Wolfmage, I am very curious). The silver serp can't be drawn out of Despise though, right?

Based on the table wall setup, it appears to be a tamer training rig. Pretty easy to find a serpent in the jungles.

Oh, serp to kill the tames intentionally. Man I am getting rusty.

EDIT: champ spawn animals can't be tamed. Dire Wolves are a PITA to find in the wild (hence the premium paid for their tamer quest counterparts). I give up, I'm just going to go back to ogling my myUOR char profiles.

I once had a runebook just for dire wolf spawns. I think it came from Mutombo's old rune library where he had specific spawn type markings. It was somewhat off because occasionally a mark was seemingly where he stumbled upon a dire wolf in the woods somewhere. Most were pretty reliable though.

We ad a lot of fun last night and hope you did too Blackeye.

This thread moved to Renaissance Discussion btw due to some organizational issues. I hope it gets soon moved to the Salty Dog Tavern until it can be moved back to the Photogallery.

why isn't it just moved, don't understand why it's such a slow process.
