These sandals were dropped from a super cupid spawned by the GM on the first year Valentines day event. They are the only ones of this color. I'll be setting a private reserve but will be auctioning these off, starting at two mil. I'm not setting a slated timeline on "final bidding" however I'd like for these to be sold by the end of Sunday (05/03/15) Plat accepted at 6k per.
I dunno about all that swiftfeet. Maybe before the 33/133s came out I could see 5m. While they are unique they're not terribly flashy, which is what seems to bring the big coin these days. I'd say 2m is a fair start but I don't imagine this going a great deal higher. I have been wrong before though.
I think people don't know the story either of how these were actually obtained. Not to mention I sold them for 2 mill way back when nobody had 40 mill to spend and thought 2 million was a super steep price. They may not be neon or flashy but someone who knows the story should be rocking these because these in my opinion are the rarest sandals on the server and actually had to kill thousands of minions and looted off the corpse of a GM spawned Cupid. I think the history of these sandals are worth more than being flashy. Just my opinion
Back then, 2m was a proper high watermark price for the super rare sandals. They're not that hot any more but still worth that (as can be seen here). I'm just confident they aren't worth much more, regardless of the backstory. I once had a 302 engine that was removed from MC Hammer's Ford Fairlane. We always referred to it as 'The Hammer Motor'. (OAKTOWN BABY) It did not sell for anything over base value. lol
Maybe I am bias. Killing wave after wave of endless accidental over spawning by the GM and looting these thing butt ass naked on account I got owned by the redick deadly cupid archers and SUPER cupid.
I think that depends how you look at it. Sure the end sale price will be determined by how high someone is willing to go but the 333's and 233's are more of a red where this is more dulled out than those two hues and then there are the 133's and 33's of course. So I would say the 233's and 333's would fetch more as they are closer to what 133's look like. I'd say this price won't go too high but then again didn't someone pay 6 mil for pink sandals? lolz (rhetorical) That said I like em, they are one of a kind and are a nice hue!
In that case, I wonder what the only pair of spined hide sandals ever crafted by DarkWing's crafter Gosalyn, might be worth. Or the only pair of 2212 Vendor Sandals...or Les' pair of unique 2118 Leprechaun Sandals...
