This AM I donated a brick house full of loot to a lucky fellow at Occlo who has been playing here for a month or so. I'm also going to donate 7500 of each MS reg to the resist event that Blaise is holding. Also I am transferring Blaise my Ice Dungeon rune library so that he can keep it refreshed for the masses to use (it is now public) Lastly I'm donating 2 mill gold (imagine that Lib, not selling it for $$) that Blaise can use to help out new players. This can be in the form of first small homes, or anything else that he sees fit. No I'm not quitting, I still have plenty and will continue to play for the occasional pvp.
I gave him handies RL. I accept these donations and curse you for giving me something else to refresh!
To white knight hatecrime, of course. Normally you'd be the one bringing the rope to hang someone for using shared accounts to steal a bunch of shit.
I beg of you to cite the instance where I have done that, normally, or at all? I was also quick to jump on the bandwagon of assuming it accurate that HC was involved with the situation, when I heard the tale from Mes. The fact that I've spoken directly with several parties involved leads me to believe he was not. Rather than the conclusions of those with no involvement and only contempt for prior misgivings of the accused. Specifically, the person actually responsible has spoken to me directly about the entire scenario and quite frankly, I have no reason to doubt them. I did in fact say that I found the original accusations likely. However, as has also been said, I call it like I see it. The rain is gone, at least in this area. People share their accounts and when they do they should be fully aware of the risks. People trust others and not always is the trust well placed. Even still, trust can be broken when a relationship sours and I hope that's not a mystery to anyone. Do I trust HC? Probably about as much as I can handle him 1v1 in PvP. We've been interacting and playing UO for a few years at this point so I have a good idea of when I should or shouldn't trust him. No, I'm no co-owning him, Hazy or anyone outside of those I trust implicitly. I trust bartimus to take care of my house and children RL but I'm not co-owning him to my houses and he doesn't know my account info. TL/DR Point: This is a video game.
One of the things we do at SL is information gathering. At the time of the looting, Hazy was asleep (as is his habit, he has a job that requires him to wake up early) while HC was stealing sigs on a TB character that he thinks nobody knows is him. Signs point to it being HC. But setting all of the finger pointing aside, Telamon can easily see who it was who logged into Timbo's account. Whoever did that is ALSO guilty of account sharing, and needs to catch a ban. Signs point to this person being HC. And honestly, anyone who is sharing accounts on a regular basis needs to be disciplined. It is a rule, and selective enforcement of the rules is why shit like this keeps blowing up again and again. Man, don't even try that shit with me. You told us that we were rapists for pking people.
I think you're paraphrasing me poorly there. I've referred to your PKing as raping the lands or some such exaggeration like that. At what point did you take that as me not considering it a game? Not sure what you mean I guess.
Man, you said that we were a roving pack of rapists who arbitrarily decided who to take advantage of.
You're going to deny that you have specifically doled out harsher treatment to those deemed deserving? Yes, I've said you are a pack of PKs, referred to as rapists, in the gaming sense, and that certain targets have specifically received harsher floggings for their actions than others, sometimes to the point of no longer being seen. Still not sure what this has to do with it being a game. I don't even really see it as terrible in the big picture. It's just schoolyard fighting stuff with feelers attached. My bad for calling it like I see it? I even took part on some rare occasions but it's just not my bag.
I don't think anyone has lost sight of the fact it's a game, Blaise. I guess you think I'm raging or something but I'm really looking upon this with the same amusement that I do most drama. Even with it being a game, I think what's been done is pretty shitty and rules have been broken and it might be nice to see the rules actually enforced for once. Oh yeah and the fact that it's a game doesn't change that this is an obvious bribe.
Nah, I know you're not raging. Just wasn't sure what you were implying by bringing up what I've said about your PKing. I don't really care if you think it was a bribe. There has been no reciprocation on my part and will be none. If you want to feel like I'm siding with him, that's fine. No one likes that I'm friends with bart either, but I don't discount histories with people over things in video games. If HateCrime is truly abusing privilege and/or selling gold, as many people suspect, myself included, I'm in full support of harsh penalties. It would be pretty impressive if he wasn't guilty though, that's for sure.
