I had my tamer on a public boat at compasion shrine running a macro where I would move south then attempt to tame nearest gray then move south attempt to tame nearest gray then move norther attempt to tame nearest gray. I pulled up UO to see that my tamer was doing circles in Britain and not on the boat. I imagine someone made a gate or staff sent me there. Is this type of afk illegal here? if it is not big deal I only make like .5 or 1.0 animal taming a day doing it if that.
This type of macro is completely fine, however you will be subject to player interference with any macro that walks like that. Macro'ing skills on Renaissance is and will always be allowed unattended. However macroing any action that results in a collection or profit unattended will be monitored via our anti afk gathering system. However should you get flagged its just a short stint in jail, and the system is explained to you. To date no one has been banned or in jail for more than 1 day for AFK gathering.
