    Hi all

I have a blacksmith/tailoring question. I am interested in these professions as a way to repair my own weapons/armor. (I plan to stick with studded leather armor & swords build) What is the minimum skill required to repair my items without fail? I plan to drop this down the road once I get enough gold to build a house and train it on another character. Any help would be great!

    Thank you

Leather and Studded Leather cannot be repaired, except by Fortification Podwer (which anyone can apply).

For repairing metal items, your best choice may be to buy a Repair Deed from a player vendor. These are created by blacksmiths and can be used at a town forge to repair a metal item.

    The repair deeds are awesome.

On a related note, does an item get negatively affected from repairing it numerous times? For example, does repairing a weapon reduce its awesomeness in any way?

Yes - each repair reduces its max HP by 1.

    Welcome to the shard! :)

I could be wrong but changes are coming this Summer so we can repair things like carpentry weapons, bows. Not sure about leather armor.

Welcome aboard Thorn. For what it's worth, I did much of the same in OSI way back when I started at launch. I played a warrior tailor who made leather armor for self and sale. It wasn't the most grand template, but I certainly enjoyed the RP of it and never had anything but good times.
