The Britannia Watery Department of Transportation would like to advise citizens that the overnight enforcement of parking restrictions has resumed in all watery regions.

The new watery vehicle law, which falls under Section 13-616 of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Wateryness, became effective five minutes before you read this notice. A violation pertaining to the idle parkination of boats with the intent of encouraging unlawful boarding and stuff can result in inpoundination and fines not to exceed 5,000 gold.

This boat is possibly owend by a "Gilbert" who owns a lovely stone patio house just to the side of the Moonglow Academy of Arts. Some of the stuff you left on your patio was also impounded and sold to feed starving pirates in training.

I see this becoming a very expensive method of griefing roleplay.

    Good luck!

yeah not so much on the awesome... This intentionally blocking and impeding a players motion... straight up hostage situation here

There is no way he can leave the area of griefing.

Since he cannot sail up in another boat and simply dry dock the trapped one, he has no choice but to pay the ransom demand, let the damn thing decay, or attempt to wait out the griefer...

This watery vehicle was intentionally inviting unsuspecting passerbys onto itself by not locking the plank. If someone was taking the boat out for a spin, bumped into a sea serpent or sexy anime tentacle monster, they could possibly be killed, and not able to get their belongings off their corpse. Who would be liable?! According to Section 13-412 of the Transportation Article of the Annotated Code of Wateryness, it is the boat owner due to negligence. This impound is to ensure that nobody would be come hurted on a boat that does not belong to them.

With great boats comes great sponsabilities.

+1 for citing laws insuch a manner that I had to look them up (I still can't tell if these are real. Damn Britanian parliment!)

-1 for posting in the wrong forum, this is definitely a saltydog tavern or top shots post!

+1 for attention to detail. The book was written by the wurst pirate!

    -1 for obligatory anti-pirate sentiments

+1 for worthy and intelligent rebuttal argument. Someone very well could have stumbled upon this open boat and sailed into uncharted and dangerous waters!

    -1 just because.

based on the scientific story formula rating scale, your impounding tale will receive at least 50 views, 6 likes, and 11 "almost likes" from people who might have clicked the like button if they weren't too drunk to function)

It has been 24 hours, and the owner of the unsecured watery vehicle has not claimed his property. Since all of our departments resources are tied up in this single impound, perhaps it's time to talk more about the great things being done by my organization.

As many of you know, many fishes upon fishes are fished up by fishers every day, resulting in over-fishing. New fish need homes to live in, which are being built by your friends at the Artificial Reef Research, with generous donations of unclaimed impounded boats from the Bureau Of Nautical Emissary Reconciliation.

There are many boats out there that are unsecured, posing a risk to unauthorized and untrained unprofessionals taking them out, oh how do they say it... 'for a spin', and unfortunately for the Bureau of Nautical Emissary Reconciliation, resources are completely tied up with this one single boat.

If you know the owner of this watery vehicle, please let them know that this is for a good cause either way. 5,000 gold can further the work of the Bureau, or the boat can be used as an artificial reef. Either way, everyone comes out ahead.

Jupiter I am of the opinion that you are being to harsh on this young entrepreneur and his non-profit organization designated for the betterment of all marine species. He has put a great deal of creative effort and financial investment into this venture and it would only seem appropriate that he charge people for polluting our waterways with these abandoned piles of soggy oak and yew.

I am very 'for' this new player created mechanism. I see way too many boats out there with little punishment for their over pollution and over fishing.

How many abandoned boats would it take to create The Great Barrier Reef?

mr. graf, you mistook my meaning, I was merely delivering the results of the story formulas scientific results. 50+ views and 6+ likes is actually a good thing. I did provide the metrics that were entered into the formula to receive the results outlined above.

I find it funny that the solution to the supposed "boat pollution" is to add more boats!

What this boils down to is are you or are you not going to support the Bureau Of Nautical Emissary Reconciliation (B.O.N.E.R.) ?!?!?

Will you show some love and support for the B.O.N.E.R. and allow it to rise? Or shall it wilt the first time it tries to raise its ugly head?

    The B.O.N.E.R. is your friend.
The B.O.N.E.R. would never lead you wrong.
    TRUST The B.O.N.E.R.

Aren't we adding to clogged waterways by putting (4) more boats surrounding a single vessel for the 14 day period of decay in the hopes of removing a single boat?

This has federal government written all over it.
