So, I've been on the shard now a month and a half. I have been doing BODs non-stop since I GM'd 3 of my smith/tailors. Therefore, I have compiled a massive amount of powders, shitty runic hammers, shovels, etc. I also am in the business of using a lot of crap BODs to "flip" to try and score a nicer, more useful BODs. My question is in regards to weapons BODs. I've completed a lot of large weapons BODs after waiting weeks to get that single broadsword I needed to complete the order, just to turn it in and get a shitty powder that I already have 100 of. Do you guys flip the weapons BODs or does anyone actually do these? I am about to fill 100s of these if I no longer see a point in collecting them. If you guys have heard any rumors to changes in the system that might make me want to hold onto these, let me know. I literally throw platemail iron bods in the trash. Waste of ingots.
Weapon LBODs are completely worthless, you are much better off turning in the individual weapon small BODs for a flip and the junky shovel. Sorry you had to learn that one the hard way. Platemail iron BODs are a close 2nd on the worthless scale. If you get low on other flippers, filling "normal" platemail iron ones isn't horrible but it's still not the best use of ingots.
All large iron BoDs are NOT worth the resources to fill. All large Dull Copper BoDs, except for 15x Ringmail, 20x Chainmail and 20x Platemail, are NOT worth the resources to fill. All large Shadow BoDs, except for Exceptional Chain and Platemail are NOT worth the resources to fill. I use basically that as my 'flip filter'. No shields or helms, other than plate, fit into a large either, so those are all flippers, regardless of ore type.
Agree with Blaise, except on the Plate sets. I don't bother filling any of those in Dull, Shadow, or even Copper at this point. I'd rather use the ingots to flip and keep stock for the ring and chain sets I like to fill.
