Capture and hold?

    New idea for a shard gaming event. Set in a makeshift town, and each team has to capture and hold key parts of the town, kind of like Domination in Call of Duty or Arathi Basin in WoW.

    I also thought of some interesting games we could implement.

    For instance:

    Four Team Capture the Flag

    BUT

    There is only one flag and the team that hold the flag the longest over a set period of time wins the round. So like a 15-30 minute game and you have to survive carrying the flag. Doing so would require lots of teamwork as the other teams would all attack the flag carrier.

    That's a fantastic idea! It would definitely encourage more teamwork by needing to keep the flag holder alive and well defended, vs "Rambo" style of just running around doing whatever you want.

    How about a game of hot potato involving silver serpents and people around a bull pen.

    How about loading out in your "uber gear" and getting into some field fights.

    The adrenaline rush and sweaty palms that would ensue might be a little too much for some folks, so those with weak hearts should stay on the sidelines.

    OR A game of capture the flag with sudden death implemented. So last team standing gets to loot.

    Of course looting would lead to the decline of people brining good gear, but a high stakes prize would possibly counteract this.
