After a long time I logged on a UO server...how many memories.
Thanks to your guides I already got back all the knowledge on UO, however I still have some questions I feel a bit rusty so I'd be happy to receive you help/suggestions.

I am thinking to make 2 pg:

    PG Archer

    Stats cap 225
    Str 100
    Dex 100
    int 25

    Skills cap 700
    Archery 100
    Tactics 100
    Anatomy 100
    Healing 100
    Res Spell 100
    Hiding 70
Magery 30 (scroll recall success 100%?)
Fencing 100 (for paralyse) or Stealth 100

    PG Tamer

    Stats cap 225
    Str 92
    Dex 40
    Int 93

    Skills cap 700
    Taming 100
    Veterinary 100
    Animal lore 100
    Magery 100
    Meditation 100
    Musicianship 100
    Discordance 100

    A couple of doubts:
    1. Is the archer competitive in this server?
    2. How do you macro res spell in UOR? Is there any afk trick or I just throw spells at the pg?
    3. The most important question, as I don't have any more so much free time and I can probably play a couple of hours a week, is there an effective way to macro taming afk? I saw multiple guides on the forum, but the only one which seemed acceptable (http://uorforum.com/threads/a-youngs-guide-to-animal-taming.4446/) but it seems not to be working anymore. Do taming manually would take centuries..

Thank you so much for your time and kindness.

    1) I wouldn't make an archer for starting out here. Arrows run about 7.5g each, very expensive to fire that much cash at enemies starting out.
    2) You can cast spells on yourself and heal, but it's probably easier and certainly more economical to wait for a resist party. Here's the link for the last one (unfortunately, you just missed it): http://uorforum.com/threads/adventure-times-april-fuels-freesist-magic-resist-training.9527/
    3) Check out this guide: http://uorforum.com/threads/fast-track-guide-to-taming.2165/

    Welcome to the server man!

You can AFK macro via the guides above. Completely AFK macroing of taming for long periods of time (like when you are sleeping) is not advised as you will be killed here and there.

I would do bulls until you can do Hell Hounds and GM from hell hounds. You can do bulls and hell hounds AFK but I would recommend doing it partially AFK IE: checking back every now and again to make sure things are running smoothly and to bring more spawn your tamers way via an alt character be it bulls or hounds.

    Good luck on your adventures.

Is there a point where dex no longer increases veterinary / bandage-self speed?

There is. I can't remember the formula, but once you hit 4 seconds for others you can't go any faster.

Might try test shard to get a better feel for it.
