I Title says it all i cant log into uor with out client crashing right when i log on? i wanted to try it out but everytime i log in i crash? been like this for 3-4 months
Does it give an error message of any type on the crash? You might want to try uninstalling UO and reinstalling the UOR client again in the meantime (if you haven't already).
its best to use out client as there are add ons for custom areas, also there are a few tweak's to make it run better
I agree with Sam. It's better to use the Renaissance client. It can be found here http://www.uorenaissance.com/download
Generally this is caused by a non standard UO Client. Make sure you see the login screens shown in the getting connected guide here to make sure your using the right client. http://www.uorenaissance.com/connecting
Im using a standard client i use to play regular shards with. This is what happens i load uo and get this far then it freezes up and says "not responding" https://www.dropbox.com/s/zdfxbwt0ps7e9kp/Screenshot 2014-09-23 13.11.38.png?dl=0 BTW chris is it ture your Telamon " Land Baron" i think ur guild was -0% and you played baja? If so i used to play with u back on baja i even had a rune to ur castle. Lol i was always there bugging you. If it is you "castle boy" u will know what i mean by that name. i wana say it is you because i see u still wear the tribal masks even from way when lol
Yes, he is the same Telamon from Baja! Also, go to the link he provided and be sure to install the UOR specific client, as everyone has stated. You will have pretty much constant problems if you try to use a current production installation of UO (OSI). You can install the UOR Client in it's own directory, to keep it separate from your OSI client. Jump in IRC @ http://uorenaissance.com/irc to get live help from players or available staff.
"A standard client" is not the UOR client. They have different versions and patches for different eras. From the looks of that screen shot, you're probably using a client that is too new. On a side note "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again without change and expecting different results". Oh and I had no idea Chris was Telamon. HAHAHA! I thought they were separate people.
