its got a 20% success rate to be made. Yet a 100% success rate to be cured with a G.Cure potion. Can we do something about that so people actually start using it?
Is it 100%cure rate? I remember fighting and using DP and sometimes the cure failed. I think the real problem is POT abuse being able to spam cures kind of makes deadly poison useless
Yea man, two options. 1. Drop chance of success on actual cure to match the success rate of making DP. 20%. If you want to carry 60 cure pots and spam all of them every time you're deadly poisoned I think that would be all right as far as a trade. Or just do the sensible thing and take the ability to spam all potions out of the game.
I dunno... where's the balancing point going to be then? What will deter the desire to field armies of DP monkeys?
... so swap problems? If anything, you'll have the most luck if you supply a balanced counter to the aforementioned FoTM healer mage.... via revised poisoning.
Come fight us Orcs, most of us are just dexxers. We will try to give you a good fight. There's not many of us around at the moment but the few that are here are usually around somewhere looking for trouble.
There's normally 2-3 Bloodrock Clan Orcs around the fort north of the Compassion Desert across the north bridge or in the desert itself in the evenings (RL jobs suck). I think Bloodclan at the Yew fort has Orcs running around at different times of the day. Vishakt of Bloodrock is normally in IRC when he's ingame and can muster me and sometimes 1 other orc for "glorious chaos".
I don't think the success rate is 100% as I have failed to cure a deadly poison with a pot. The issue is you can spam cures making DP useless
When I found this out I stopped training poisoning, it's basically a completely wasted skill. Unless you run into a complete novice and get very lucky which just isn't going to happen here. It's like having a skill called NO available to all characters, but instead of training in NO you just buy 20 pots of it from an NPC.
Poisoning still has benefits in group fights but any decently equipped fighter, no point. We should make a flow chart of useless skills here to prove a point.
Strongly agree. I don't know what the fix could be to make things balanced, but something should be done. But at the same time, I don't want it overpowered either.
Changing greater cure pot chance to cure in favor of the nox dexer will just have people increase stack-able potion pack count. There's no easy answer to this one. It's a template that has a specific situational use. Maybe a 75% chance to cure with greater cure or, have the act of poisoning a player cause a slight chance of applying it's damage immediately (or some sort of impairment). There will always be weaknesses in templates/skills and there will always be stronger templates that people favor.
