I have always liked the ore colored robes since OSI. But why do we have an age limit on them, they are practically useless as there is no check for getting hit wearing clothes. Why would we have an age limit on them and not something like an etheral horse. That's it for todays episode of "What grinds my gears"
I agree that more purchases should have account age requirements to purchase/use. I also agree that Robes and Cloaks should just apply their AR bonus to the Body portion of the AR, so they actually work best.
The age requirement was just something we adjusted slightly because historically they had a limit. On some level we figured they could signify the age of your character, and we have plans to add more colors going forward for 1+ years. We do have plans to work on their functionally a bit more so they provide the expected defensive bonus, which some players inform me they suspect is not working. As for the other items having age requirements, we did not want to limit players who worked hard to achieve a goal, since we are not selling these items for real currency, players can set out with a mission to obtain an item and accomplish it without the burden of account limitation. That said, we do provide some bonuses for our Vets, some which will be obvious during the 2nd Anniversary events.
