1 mil over deed for a castle on Ice? One of the nicer fortresses outside of Vesper just went for deed + 1.2 mil roughly and thats one of the nicest secluded fortresses.....

From what I understand, there are no more spots. I put things up for what I want to make off them, not less to build up an auction.

Note how he was the only one who expressed interest and posted a way high buyout for it after he got outbid on the fortress I was talking about on my first post. He paid way too much IMO...but anyway, im not trying to derail but a secluded fortress on grass (one of the nicest) sold for 1.2 over deed and you are essentially wanting the same for an ice island house farm castle.....

That said it is yours and you can try and get whatever you want for it and I am not trying to de-rail. I'm also not gonna watch housing prices get foolish here like another place so many of us are from.

That is wonderful Andersonius. Maybe you can start your OWN thread in which you express your opinions on this servers housing market.

Honestly, as said in my last post, I'll put up actions for a price I am willing to take.

Let me rephrase, I had a few pms asking if I had already sold the last castle, which to me indicates interest in purchasing it, after I had already sold it. I never asked for an offer, as it would have wasted time.

This property was once owned by Steven Tyler's Sister's Best Friend's Cousin's old roommate.

This opens up something that I've brought up a few times and likely needs to be it's own thread, but here goes:

Since we pretty much have run out of space for Fortresses and Castles, with only perhaps a few flukes left for a Large Keep - a big selling point of these properties are that it has a courtyard. Unless you got in very early and have been very careful about securing your runes and property, you will never get to fully enjoy a very nice convenient feature of these types of properties.

As much as I'd love to buy someone's castle or fortress, I won't just because of the fact that all CY locations will always be marked and I can never be sure who else now has a rune to my property.

I know the 'draw bridge' idea is coming, but that also blocks out the owner. So here's a few suggestions:

1) Allow a Platinum Reward item that allows a "Courtyard Wipe" - thus resetting all runes marked to the courtyard to blank.

2) Allow a Platinum reward item that makes a courtyard only accessible by friends/co-owners/owners of the house.


It would bring back a lot of value in these properties and give the buyer some confidence. I mean I know this isn't the real world, but in the real world would you buy a house with the stipulation that there may be an unknown amount of keys to your house floating around and you have no means to change the locks?

Good thing you can place items on all spots except one. So lame that people take the time to mark potential CY spots . -- if the comment that was made is actually true

Many times it is an accident. I have had 2 runes marked in open area then later, someone placed a house with a CY and I had access. In fact, I could have stolen 100,000 of various regs in one of the spots but informed the player. The other one, I gave the rune to the player. So, you shouldn't make an assumption that a player marked the spot as a potential CY spot even tho... some players do that.

edit: when I had my fortress at this spot I knew of 2 people who may have had CY ruins but I never saw anyone recall in while I lived there. Rest assured I marked over mine long ago. If you're really concerned about security just use a table barrier!
