Detect Hidden / Lockpicking

Does Detect Hidden still give a +5 skill to lock picking success? i.e. 95 Lock picking with GM Detect gives you the success rate of someone with GM lock picking?

No, I don't believe it gives a bonus to success chance here at all.

It should be (detect skill / 20) = bonus to required

So, it gives you the ability to "try" to pick a chest that otherwise would tell you that you need more skill to pick that chest.

No, it gives +5 to "Letting you try to lockpick something". It's a weird system.

So theoretically you could finish the last .5 lockpicking on lvl5-6 chests right? So long as you had skill room to allow the .5 increase?

Yes, you can gain the last 5 while dropping DH.

So at 95 lockpicking, i no longer have a need for Detect Hidden?

When you get to 95 real LP, you can open lvl 4 chests without DH and gain this way until GM. So one cOuld say, you dont need DH when reaching 95 real skill LP.

I thought 95 real LP + 100 DH = 100 real LP.

It does, but what I think they are saying is at 96 Real LP you could drop DH from 100 to 80, at 97 Real LP drop DH from 80 to 60 and so on freeing up your Character to replace DH with something more useful, like Item ID. Or just save Level 5 and 6 Maps as you gain LP from 95 Real to 100...

LP/DH has my T-Hunter stuck atm unfinished....

Does having GM DH slow your gains down from 95-100 is what I want to know.

If you have gm DH and95 LP you can pick lvl 5 and 6 chests, that's what I gmd lp on. After gming lp you no longer need DH
