Hail to all yet another idea has come about and I am looking to gauge some interest in the matter. I often think about medieval times of kings invading other countries to plunder and pillage. With that in mind I propose the idea of using Stormhold's Castle as the establishment to hold for a specific time. Which ever faction group can hold the castle long enough will gain access to the treasure room and win the bounty. No one will be friended to the castle and the faction to hold the castle for the set amount of time will be based on first come first serve, but at that point it is their responsibilty to hold off the invading force. (Please dont underestimate the riches of Stormhold). Also possible that the winning faction will gain tribute in the form of resources over the course of a week at a designated faction house in Stormhold (not yet decided). Please leave your input and vote whether or not this would be something of interest to add to the faction realm.
love the idea of faction fights at specific times. I think if it was backed by staff; it would be that much more successful
Having some faction opposing monsters involved would make it that much more fun. I like the idea and would take part, were I involved in Factions again.
Not in factions... yet... but would be interested when I am. Probably more likely to be in a faction once the guildstone changes are in place.
Lets wait and see wht changes Telemon makes in this upcoming patch. I like that you stole Vlar and I's idea though and made it your own.
How would you ensure this system couldn't be taken advantage of? (ie: everyone stacking into one faction to syphon treasure and resources.) I think the "rewards" need to come solely from faction kills to avoid this.
Baine I have thought about it and I believe your idea of faction kills is the best way to approach the situation. For Example, 2 hour time limit the faction with the most kills in a set area since I dont have eyes everywhere will be winner. However, the point of this is that the castle is taken over so with that in mind there will be a point system that allows the faction still holding the castle to gain more points on their side potentially tipping the balance. If a tie comes in to play than NO ONE WINS.... scary. Better ideas are appreciated if you have any. If no one has a better idea than I will start preparing a faction event with the idea of a point system. Also, red factioneers are welcome, but you know I cant prevent your own team from attacking you.
