Since I've never played past T2A before I've been trying to read up on the UO:R era and get up to speed. But I'm aware that staff will also adjust things that were believed to be flawed, and there might be multiple changes to the same feature within the target time frame also. so I can't always be sure of what is or isn't a part of this server. I search the forums for answers before posting (found out about monster looting rights and recalling as aggressor this way). When possible, I'll test things out on my own. But until i get developed characters I'll ask more experienced players. With regard to this publish: http://update.uo.com/design_196.html 1) Do murder counts get you ejected from the thieves guild here? 2) Do all those changes to Magic Reflection apply? I hope some more people have questions to ask too because I'm sure I'm not the only one who could use some help figuring things out.
1) The "murder counts ejecting player from the thieves guild" is something that I don't believe has been tested yet on Renaissance. According to that patch note you linked, it would appear that receiving a murder count did not suspend a player from the thieves guild. This may have changed again (although I don't believe it did) but searching the patch notes should help clarify exactly how this functioned. 2) All of the changes listed in the link you provided, are in effect on Renaissance. The only feature in the list that is not in effect on the server, is the 10 second cool-down between re-casting magic reflection. The delay on Renaissance is currently longer than that, which will most likely change to 10 seconds in regards to the notes above.
Lol, I just phrased my question kind of funny I guess. I know that the patch shows that murder counts don't get theives ejected from the guild and afaik that wasn't reversed at any time during UO:R. I was just wondering whether or not that was implemented on Renaissance or not. As I come up with new noob questions I'll post them here instead of starting new threads and flooding the forum with my name. So in that spirit... is the mount stamina 'all follow' refresh referred to in those notes also disabled here on Renaissance?
Sounds like something that is not going to last forever. I guess we'll just have to wait and see which way it falls in the end. Thanks for the answer. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of newbie starting equipment on Renaissance? It's not the same as I remember it from T2A (started a character with tailoring but no newbie scissors).
