First question: Can the golem be mined outside of a cave or does it have to be in a cave? Second question: Can my crafter be the one who pops the golem while a dexxer is standing by to slay it?
Q1) Golems can only be spawned in caves that have the natural spawning golems w/ garg shovels. The type of shovel (iron, dc, shadow, etc.) denote the type of golem that spawns NO MATTER what vein you are mining Garg Picks - usable anywhere. Spawns elementals and mines ore that are one color higher then the vein (Iron produces DC, dc produces shadow, etc). Q2) Anyone with mining can spawn them, anyone with fighting skills can kill them. I run a miner with: Mining LJ Healing Anat Magery Swords Tactics and then 2 archers who follow him and ping the eles
For what it's worth, Gargoyle Shovels do not require any Mining skill, at all. Gargoyle Pickaxes do require actual mining skill. This guy can solo with gargoyle picks rather well: http://www.uorenaissance.com/player/179212 I don't really do shovels unless I'm hanging out with some folks who do.
