It seems weird that you can poison field and hide (or meditate) but not fire field. It also doesn't seem to be era-accurate. I remember FFing and hiding. Why does firefield act as if you're attacking every time it damages? That effectively breaks meditation and hiding.. it also forces you to retarget the fire field victim... which I definitely think is wrong.
I believe the field field damage being linked to the caster is an added feature. Result of abused greifing, town killing, and all that fun stuff. Much like discordance being an aggressive act more recently.
