The goal is simply to shed light on both the frequency of mob types spawned from tossing nets and also to quantify the average loot value per toss. Loot values considered in my calculation will include: - Gold/Plat - Skinned Hides - MIBs/Fishing Nets - AMIBs/Rare Nets I did not include value of reagents, miscellaneous junk found in the crates/chests on sunken ships, nor the gold received for transporting the captive NPC to their requested location. This document is live and will continue to evolve over time, so if you're into data/numbers, feel free to continue checking back. Results Here As of 8/20/17, 153 nets have been thrown. Summary of rare spawns below: Average Loot Value per thrown net - 5,643 gold Sunken Ship spawn rate - 3.9% (6 of 153) Lock Lake Monster spawn rate - 9.8% (15 of 153)
With various crews through the years, I've got to be in the top 10 if not top 5 of most nets thrown and I've never seen the results you've gotten in just 40 casts. Should this trend continue I'm going to have to call shenannigans on the sky gods watching over you. 6 AMIB's in 40 casts is insane. I average ONE in 50. Yes, I am jelly.
Data for 150+ nets now added. More to come. Significant decline in success rates across the board (kraken/lock lake spawns, gold value realized, etc) since the first round of 40 nets. I imagine these numbers are now more in line with reality.
Damn dude. I can't believe you took the time to record all of that... I am surprised that if you did all that, you didn't go all the way. Record scroll money, gem money, weapons/armor, etc...
For me that looks way more accurate and comparable to my experiences. You must of been on an amazing lucky streak bud! Well done!
graph translation a whole lot of "nothings" followed by an extremely rare smattering of "ZOMG! WOOOOOOO!"
