Hey guys, What is the best way to gain magic resist? Level is at 62 and it is painfully slow casting EB on myself. Any tips?
Hey man and welcome to the server! Casting on yourself is certainly one way to do it and if your training your magery up you might as well as long as your character is going to have resist in its final build. Macroing magery on yourself to GM (lightning, then ebolt, then flamestriking yourself to GM) will get your resist low to mid 90's. You can speed this process up by having another character on a seperate floor of your house casting MS on your area and you will gain from that as well. This method is great because MS only does 1 damage inside houses here on this server. The ultimate way to GM resist on your toons would be to wait for the freesist sessions that happen often here thanks to a lot of generous and dedicated players! When this happens you can set your toons in the house where the event is going on and the casters at the event cast MS until all regs are used up. There are people that have GMed numerous characters in one session using this method! Good luck on getting established you will love it here! Resist is one of the slowest skills to gain but of course well worth it in the end.
Unless you absolutely need your character to have GM resist NOW, I would definitely wait for the next freesist session. Casting flamestrike on yourself until GM is long, expensive, and painful.

Arrange the trade ahead of time. Normally you have to die to get into these things, to ensure you don't bring in explosives... Death, the medieval metal detector.
