Any "guides" or tips on hanging paintings on the wall would be appreciated. The extent of my knowledge is stacking them on items, creating a macro to drop in relative location, both methods work sometime, however getting them stuck to the wall is problematic for me. It looks like they are in place, but you can walk behind it and the wall. Maybe one of you have a tip or trick to get it stuck in the correct place.

They are a bastard to place, agreed.

We do have the 'deco tool' here. Once you lock items down, it lets you rotate items and move them up or down - that helps a bit. They are sold in the real estate/carpentry shops.

There are dif types of paintings, some will end up on the floor when u drop them, others a bit higher up.
Just target the nearest tile close to the wall u want them on, lock them down and use the deco tool to raise/lower it in position.
If u want it really high u have to build a table tower and drop it on top or use a ladder to climb up on and drop at feet.

Yes, I have many of the "fail" paintings that wont go directly onto the wall that are going to the trash barrel. If only the deco tool had an option to move forward or back then they would be golden. I don't like being able to walk behind a picture that's supposed to be stuck to the wall. I never gave any thought to it, but I noticed that when you put your paintings into a metal chest for example...you have some that land towards the top of the chest, and ones that will sit on the bottom of the chest. The bottom dwellers are the ones that won't go directly onto the wall, and earn themselves a seat at the bottom of the trash barrel.

Not sure if this will help with the "fail" paintings or not, but when I have difficulty placing them where I want them - I'll put the painting into a container that I can axe (wooden chests/crates), place the container on the tile where I want the painting against the wall, then axe the container. Bingo.
