I know some of you will say I could of just messaged them. You're right. But everyone should know. Especially if they're hesitant of joining the shard. Kraken and Sir Billy helped me out tremendously. They went above and beyond. So thanks again for those two and everyone else. You gave me a huge headstart. So if you're thinking about joining the shard and don't want to go down the long skills/Stat road alone. You don't have too. There are plenty here to help Thanks again
Yeah, the people on here overall are really, really helpful. Some of them bicker with each other, but I've yet to meet anyone who wouldn't help out a new player. It's probably this place's biggest strength.
I have to agree top player run server with great people throughout; if you need help with any questions you may have feel free to drop into #PS channel and ask away, we focus on helping new folks out where needed as they get on their feet understanding servers intricacies.
Hey, I am new returning to the shard. I had started here and had made a 99.9 tamer (gm in my eyes) and then was hospitalized for a while and wasn't able to game or do anything really. I tried to find a game I liked, played Rainbow Six Siege, loved it but it got boring, then I just bought Overwatch and I love it but it's getting boring and I think my roots are just in UO lol. I grew up on it, I still love it to this day and I can't stand any other MMORPG out there because nothing comes close to this game. Although I am still new-returning, I will also help anyone who needs assistance and I am looking to make a couple friends! Right now I am just farming for a bit of gold and trying to find some good stat tames to sell for a pretty penny! If anyone needs anything let me know!
was pk'd several times on the first days, even just buying basic supplies at vendors near moon gates. dude rolls over me and says "ENJOY YOUR WALK" may look around at playing other places, dont have a problem w/ fel side at all, but killing new players because you're bored out of your mind is counter to the shard culture i want to be apart of......
That really sucks to hear, especially at a vendor. One thing I'd really recommend is taking advantage of the 'Young' program here in Occlo when you're starting out. You can enter/re-enter even if you turned it down or left already. Occlo basically has everything you need except open housing, plus you're protected from crap like what you mentioned until you're on your feet.
If any new players need a house to macro in on Ocllo island I have a small tower just outside of town they are more then welcome to crash at. PM me in IRC
I started from 0 few mounths ago, some players helped me out a lot buying yards of cloths but nothig more than that. I get pkd lots of times but is UO mate, this is the game original philosophy. So don't give up! See you in game
Lol, people should not cry about being pked, it is part of the game. I couldn't tell you how many times I was rolled over while trying to GM my tamer - I could only imagine what the dungeons are like. Dont get mad, get even.
You had really bad luck. Come say hi on irc, guarantee things will go smoothly once you meet some more players.
