I've come into a problem where one of my characters has a house, but I'd like to co-own him to another house. Is there a reason for this limitation? I'd prefer not to re-deed my house, get co-owned to the other house, then place the original house again. Seems to be unnecessarily complicated. Was there some reason this was implemented, previous abuse or something?
I've just learned to deal with this myself. I always leave one character off of any house ownership (Jupiter). That way he's my goto guy for all house co-owning and I don't have to wonder which character I have given access to. it's made my life a breeze. Also, if I could, I'd live from a bank box. The only reason I own properties now is to keep the Spirit of Paws alive. If it weren't for that, I'd be living out of a bank or a hutch.
I too have kept Krake from owning any houses so that he can be co-owned on anything. I just have other alts to "own" the actual house, but Krake "runs" the property for the most part. It is confusing and frustrating at times, but just something we all must deal with for now.
I also took the time to get all my 10 chars from my other accounts co-owned to my main residence. This took a lot of shuffling but is worth it. How I went so long without optimizing this I do not know. Just friending some of them and then cursing when I couldn't place a trash barrel!
I keep all my homes owned on a single account, for the most part. I would like to see the restriction removed. I guess the concern has to do with strongboxes. Like who the hell needs those? lol
I believe @Chris has considered this in the past without much to say against it. Not sure if/when it will happen though.
