I cant seem to figure out how to cook my fish meat or ribs. I read that I just click on the item when near a fire source, but Ive gone near many and clicking on the items does nothing. I even made a camp fire but clicking on it did nothing. How exactly does one cook the meat from skinning animals and such?
you need some cooking tools like rolling pin or a skillet etc. you can buy them from cooks or tinker them up. double click on the tool near a fire source and you're golden.
One quick warning, it'll cook EVERY fish steak in your inventory (or try to, if it fails it cuts the amount you have in half) when you choose fish steaks in the cooking menu. So if you want to use your fishsteaks to raise cooking to GM, set up a macro to restock 1 at a time from your bank or a container in your house.
Thanks for the warning. Im looking just to fill my belly and not worry about buying food from a vendor anymore. Just started out so I dont have the gold to buy a stack of 1K fish steaks
Ok so, where do I buy a frying pan? Im "Young" and in Ocllo. I could have sworn Ive seen an NPC that had one for sale once, but now I cant seem to find it.
This is a link to UO Rennaissance's IRC chat system There is a "bakery" of sorts in Ocllo. I think you can purchase a cooking instrument from the vendor inside.
Awesome thanks! I went in there earlier, and must have missed that NPC in particular, and asked to "buy" from every other one (after the Baker, Provisioner, and Blacksmith as well...).
...and now I learned the hard way that I should just keep buying food from the vendor i love this game
just kill orcs, they usually carry around some ribs, and their camp chests are full of delicious cheese!
