Step 1: Download and use the official UOR all in one launcher, find it here top of page http://www.uorenaissance.com/download Step 2: Under Options select the drop down on "connect using the classic UO Client" - Test. Just like in the screenshot below Step 3: Make any char, name it whatever you want and choose whatever skills. it doesn't matter, just make a char and choose to start in any town. Once there, walk to the bank and go through the Moongate. it will say testing area Step 4: Set your skills. The ideal template for mage v mage is Magery, Resists, Meditation, Eval Int, Wrestling, Anatomy and Healing. the full commands for our template are, and you have to write this in test server: Set magery 100 Set meditation 100 Set evalint 100 Set magicresist 100 Set healing 100 Set anatomy 100 Set wrestling 100 Note: For whatever random skills you chose to make the character make sure to set them to 0. For example you chose 10 points into veterinary, just type set veterinary 0. Also set your stats: Set str 90 Set dex 45 Set int 90 Obviously choose what you're comfortable with. 90/45/90 is the most balanced. Step 5: In the testing area go through this moongate: Pro tip. In the testing area there is a blue NPC called punching bag. It has like 1,000,000 life and will auto generate once murdered. Feel free to practice your pots and combos on it. Step 6: Welcome. Here is the duel arena where you can grab unlimited pots, bandages and regs (just double click the obelisk). In your bank you will find a full spellbook. Be warned that your bank has a lot of crap in it, just trash barrel everything except the spellbook of course Note: The duel arena is special because you get automatically resurrected if you die anywhere in the grass within the arena. It is also the ideal size for 1v1 as off screening isn't possible.
