Hey guys! I wanted to reach out and see if anyone in our community is having to flee for mandatory evacuations. I am located in Rock Hill, SC about 40mins drive S of Charlotte, NC. I have two spare bedrooms I will happily let anyone use. PLEASE contact me via PM or IRC. I will give you my phone number and we will work out the details and I will give you my street address. I do have a dog, so pets are welcome. I couldn't imagine leaving my dog behind. Please contact me, don't stay in a hotel...
Awesome gesture! Great Peeps on this Server. I used to live in the Newberry area of SC for many years. Thinking of you guys.
Thank you guys for the kind words. Just doing my part to help whomever I can. I have moved my 2 sons' bedroom into our master bedroom. We now have 3 spare bedrooms. I have a generator, water, tons of food etc. If anyone knows anyone who needs help or a safe place to stay please pass me their information so I can reach out to them. Our home is protected by the 2nd amendment security system. Top of the line. Myrtle Beach is maybe 3.5 hours from our house.
The city just updated the flood plains mapping for the carolinas. Please checkout the updated map to see if you're at risk @Ervin. If you are, you're more than welcome. http://www.esri.com/services/disaster-response/flooding https://msc.fema.gov/portal/search?AddressQuery=York, SC#searchresultsanchor <- This link shows an updated version of the flood plains in York County.
@Creager I'm good, I live out in the country on several acres with no trees near my house. My land isn't in the 100 yr or 500 yr flood plains and drains water well away. If you get nervous let me know, I've got plenty of food and drink to be merry and chainsaws to clean up with. We survived Hugo here, we will survive this one too
