I know you're gonna say to drop one or two of the bard skills, but for some reason I MUST have a bard that can do it ALL. So here are his skills as of now, and I would appreciate ANY help that doesn't include me dropping a bard skill. GM Music GM peace GM Provo 93.1 entice GM hiding GM resist 50 and some change magery What is the best and most useful template I can turn this character into WITHOUT dropping a bard skill? Thanks for the help guys. Note: I already have a peace dexxer.
*scatches head* Yea I don't really have anything to suggest bud. You've made a bard. So.....maybe just play the character as an all out bard and not worry about trying to cram more stuff in there? I'd drop hiding for meditation to be honest, training magery without it is brutal and with all 3 of those bard skills I can't really see you needing to do a lot of hiding.
magery med resist evalint music provo hiding(Peacemaking is sooo useless if u already have provo, peace is only good to train taming)
what about.... music provo peace entice/discord hiding stealth magery or music provo peace entice/discord magery eval med
I think that GM resist would be more beneficial on the second template you posted instead of Eval. Your not going to be doing much/if any damage on the monsters because you have 3 bard skills, the benefit of those skills is you don't need to do anything other than sit back and wait for one of them to die. Maybe finish off the loser with a single energy bolt. Having the extra damage points that Eval affords you is a piss in the ocean in that exact situation. However GM resist for when you first enter a location with casting spawn and get hit with a spell or two before you're able to Provo or peace any monsters onto each other is a great benefit. But hey, it's your character dude! Do whatever you want, if you're having fun what does it matter!
I haven't tried this character with spawn yet, and want to here your opinion. The first template I figured I could stealth to the loser and loot until another mob spawn so I could then provoke him onto the winner. the second template is a possible finish off the winner template. Do people run with 3 bard skills? And if so, what other 3 skills is most common?
As a bard, your mostly PvM. I would drop resist. Music Provo Peace Disco Magery (Daemons or EV's to kill) Med (Mana Regen, even passive at max, because lets face it bard killing is not super fast.) Hiding (great utility skill for a bard to set up provos then hide in case of pks or disco then cast your summons at it then hide) I would possibly drop Hiding for Eval if you were planning to mana dump eb or fs on the mobs to finish them off during provo.
Music Peacemake Provocation Discordance/Entice 90 Magery 80 Meditation 90 Wrestling or Hiding 40 Eval (or 0 Eval and Gm other skills)
I honestly haven't noticed magic mobs dispelling my summons. Maybe I am not going after the right ones or I havent hunted in a long time without my tames and forgot. I suppose the higher level targets would take some strategy to learn how to defeat them, inlcuding summon dispel.
You're gonna burn through that so fast bud. Pretty much everyone here has told you that you're gonna need med. Maybe, and feel free to call me crazy.....you should have med? At this point it's not really just everyone's two cents it's more of a 50 dollar whip around to get you a TGI Fridays gift card.
