IDEA FOR MAYBE A SUMMER EVENT!

So Hear me out here UOR. I was thinking about this Idea last night and talked about it with a buddy. I don't see how it would be difficult to have it happen.

You know how there is The Lep event and the Christmas event right? You go around killing around the world. Well What if...…

What if there was an event where the following happened?

Creatures have taken over the oceans! We must stop them!
Just like the lep event in a way except new drops and new excitement!
You have to use your boat and roam the waters to find they said creatures!
When you kill said creature it has a chance to spawn Either of the following
A. A large pirate boat kinda like the boats that come up with the nets.
B. A large portal spawns to where you go into an instance just like in other events!

I think this would be a dope idea! The risk would be there and it would give the PVPers/pks other options as well!

Thoughts? likes? Maybe @Chris will give this some thought ?

We had something similar back a few years ago.... was total chaos on the seas & one of the best times ever had by all...

Words cannot express how much I love this idea. Especially if it involved fishing somehow too. @Chris let's do it!

Makes the seas Drunk with Rum and blood of Adventurers again! Would be happy to help or join in such an event. Maybe Evil casting Dolphins, hell bent on the destruction of the peace and harmony of the ocean. Similar to Bunnies it spawns Loch Lake Monsters? Once kill chance for pirates ships or instances?

If we wait on staff to throw this party, it won't happen this summer. No offense to staff, but that is the reality we live in here on UOR.

Let's do this ourselves!

I hear everyones Reaction to this thread. To hold an event like this player run I don't think would be possible. As I do understand that getting a new event started by admin is tough, How would we as players beable to run something Like this. We cant control the spawn of monsters in the seas. As well as control if those said monsters are able to drop portals to other instances. Maybe more ideas for a smaller less time consuming event?

I can already hear the crafters sharpening their tools for boat production.

This is an awesome idea! Whatever it ends up being, I hope we do get a summer event. +1 to this idea though.

Maybe Telamon could make it so that when a sea serpent (that's fished up) has a % chance to spawn a portal to a leprechaun dungeon? in the dungeon could be pirates.

Doesn't need to be something super complex. Could be really simple and still be a huge hit.
