A char.....what would it be? My one slot on my one account on this server, this patch, would be.... Fishing-gm carto-10- for your level 1 maps from fishing lockpicking-gm sword-gm archery-90 tacs-80 anat-80 heal-80 magery-60-use scrolls 100/75/50 Good for treasure hunting, good for a group dungeon crawl, most of your armor and weps come from your fish treasure-mix match for highest ar/lowest dex loss and best bonus to tacs/damage, good for economy [scribe]. Can cast lvl 8 res/EV. Can res/self heal with bandages. Would live Near vesper for dock/covetous access. Log cabin. Mafghine Dimaceyree / human / good neutral
You can do Level 1 maps with 0 Carto, it just takes a lot more clicking. Most likely I'd go lumberjack and depending on circumstances, I'd rock some carpentry in the early days for more funding of the other skill trainings.
No need for the 10 cart, level 1s can be done with 0 skill. Here is mine: Macing Tactics Anatomy Healing Resist Lock picking Parrying(if it were to get a buff)/Magery otherwise Nothing like bashing mobs in the head while searching chests!
Fun thread. Thanks for posting it. Hmmmm! back in the day I had lot of fun with a Tank Mage. Think I'd go that build. GM magic Gm resist Gm Eval GM Med. GM ant. GM tac. I'm torn between swords or mace. lol Katana is fast, but mace tears apart armor. Westra irc/ main in game Marjo
On dungeon chests you can just move a space away and they don't hurt, at least they use to work this way. If not tele scrolls can be used with 0 Magery with few fizzes
I already change my templates frequently with 15 slots. I think you can infer what would happen if I could only have one.
A pvp mage, as money can be made just fine (fine - not optimal) blade spiriting things. Good old siege perilous.
I could Not roll just one on Siege, I could Not do it here either.... Two would be my minimum, because I love playing the Craft Side AND the Fighting side. When you mix the two you become nothing more then an "Insect" to be swatted by the dude rolling his One as a full blown PK, because that's all he likes to do is "murder, rape and pillage". Here,...on this Server.. The "One"- Mage/Eval/Med/Tame/Lore/Vet/Fishing- No Need for a "crafter" Superior Armor and Weapons come from Monsters and Chests not Crafters, Magery and Taming cant be overlooked, even though my Preferred Playstyle is a "Jar-Head-Meat Shield", I would feel pressured to do this.... Imagine the Template complaints on OP if this ever happened! This Template allows me to go anywhere, hunt anything, be an asset to a group, Fish/Nets, do Level 1 Maps.
Mage Med Resist Eval Wrestle Provo Music Ultimate non tamer monster slayer. Also, once provo gets fixed to be able to provo onto players, not a bad human slayer either.
30 fishing for when my character gets really hungry after a long day. I could do with less but I don't want to give myself carpal tunnel clicking my rod. 44 cooking. Enough for fish steaks. 60 poisoning and arms lore. I can run a shop poisoning other players' weapons and for an extra free of 100 gold check durability with arms lore Gm taste Id. Want to make sure I didn't accidentally poison any fish steaks while running my poisoning/cooking macro overnight 40 stealing. To make money in sewers without disturbing the native fauna 56 begging. No explanation needed. 100% Risk free farming. 66.6 magery. Can summon daemon with scroll I believe. 60 fletching. Essential for making your own bow and arrow in the wilderness. 10 camping. Essential for sewer live Gm archery I hate wasting arrows on missesmisses and I love the satisfying plunk sound when they hit. 30 tactics just enough to one shot a mongbat with a heavy x bow. 100 alchemy. Essential for healing yourself without using magery or healing skill Would live in the sewers of Brittian Glandark Silverstein/half-orc/chaotic evil Edit: Dice roll to determine strength dex int. Plus 40 strength -20 int cause of half orc. Plus 30 dex from scoundrel life Peon in the lower orders of whimper and bang. [W&B]
Why wrestling instead of peacemaking? I have this template and it's really fun but arrows are going to kill you on cost with this being an only character. Unless you hunt rat men archers a LOT
Peacemaking isnt all that. Its got a long recast when it fails, it can break instantly, and when your fighting lost of monsters peacemaking takes care of one at a time whole Provocation takes care of two. The final straw is that when provo gets fixed, you can provo monsters onto people. You can take people out of war mode with an AoE peace, but ultimately it does nothing to an experienced player while a neat little spellcasting mob is much harder to deal with. I took wrestling because when your killing/being attacked by dexxers, mobs, or pets, they only have a 50% chance to hit you with melee. A single balron is much less of a threat to me than a DP katana wielding 100 dex monkey. (especially when I have a 5% chance every 5 seconds to provo said balron onto that same dex monkey ) You can also punch enemy spellcasters in the face to disrupt their spells.
Sounds like Im dropping peacemaking for wrestling. That 50% chance to take a melee hit is huge. Balrons drop me like a bad habit! What about dropping Eval for Discord to make high bard difficulty creatures easier? Good trade off or waste?
