Starting this weekend and continuing for the next few weeks we will be removing any static or misnamed items in player hands, and replacing them with the proper item. Items such as statics will be replaced with the properly prefixed Rare___ class of items. This will cause a minor oddity in the item database as one item will be deleted and another added. Since we take great pride in our worldwide item database and the fact our players can trust us to not create items we will be posting a rough list of the changes here in case there are any questions. This change will allow the staff and players to monitor the rare class of items easier by having everything properly labelled. Static items that currently exist in player hands. Static Item Fix List Additionally we will be fixing some classical duplicates in the database such as skull candles, statcked ingots, and other items. This will actually improve their value as they will properly register on the website, vs all bunched as a single entry as "static". As for the most if not all of the changes, its just a change from a static item type, to a rare subclass. This will allow us to do some interesting things going forward such as tracking items that are out of circulation, and creating a tool allowing a player to get information about a targeted item from the UOR website. Also in some situations this will convert an item, like a covered chair, from a static directional item to the proper "flippable" item.
That is in the works as well, which is the 2nd part of this process. Along with an item, like a spyglass that you can use to target an item, that will generate the web link for that item, that you can check out or share with others. (ingame search engine)
