hi guys, i'm new on the shard (i dont even know if it is the right place where post this thread lol) and pretty new to ultima happy to join here, hope to see you in game, my char is Bormur if you have any advice (like if there are some friendly guilds or group where i can learn to play without be a weight for the community) tell it to me! see you online!
Hi back and ..Know you will enjoy it here. So much for all play styles to do, great player communtiy, and fantstic staff. Welcome to our World I'm Westra on IRC, say hi there too
Greetings Bomur, Welcome to the best realm of UO. Would love to meet you in the game sometime. Let me know times of your playing. I would try to be around then and show you the Realm of the Knights and other places of interest. Oni
Welcome. Take advantage of the Young program to learn the basics. And get in IRC ASAP - lots of friendly people there to answer questions as you go.
Let me know if you need a safe house for cross training or anything like that. I know a lot of UO players are very proud players who like their privacy and how long it takes them to train things, buuuuuuut if you want some help the community will provide it. Best advice I can give you is that the ocllo Cotton field is your best friend. If you harvest the cotton, spin it and put the thread in a loom to make cloth, then use that cloth to make clothes with a tailor, You can get almost a 2:1 ratio of gold for your cloth (by selling to vendors). And you don''t need any skills to do it. Good way to get bandages for your dexers, or level a tailor and make some money. It took me a while to remember this when I first started. Those first few thousand bandages cost me dearly... Also, everyone hangs out at Ocllo on this shard. Don't go looking for people at West Brit Bank and thinking this server is dead. And you will find an answer to any question if you log into the IRC chancel and ask the community of players. I know people among them who spend some of their time and resources to ensure others have a good gaming experience. And the Game Masters are down to earth people who d this out of love. Welcome to UOR. If you are looking for an awesome Ultima Online experience, you have come to the right place. I have an open house on Saturday morning for a bagball field tryout in a new stadium between 9-11 EST. I will be on IRC for the 2 hours. Find me there during that time if you want to come visit. I will reward you with 10k in gold and 5k in bandages if you come and help test my field.
it's nice to read your replies, guys! i'm going to get used with IRC asap, so i can join the community! i'll be interested about taking a tour in the shard! thanks for the advices, as i said i'm pretty new to ultima, i played on some local' servers (with 20-100 users) and so i know a little basics but i find this shard is HUGE and with really LOTS of things to do. now i'm macroing skills and stats (i'm doing a mage, always played that) then i hope to find a group or faction to join for pvm and pvp (really interested to). see you online and on IRC! thanks alot!
Absolutely this. This game has the capability to make you lose your marbles if you don't know what to expect. Expect death and challenge all around you and empathy from those of us who have been around a long time. This is the greatest free-form RPG ever created and if you've got the grit to handle embarrassing deaths and loss as you learn, you will do great. Welcome aboard.
Welcome to the land wanderer. Pick up a sword or pick up a hammer. This world has great need of your skills. If you are very very new to the realm, make sure you spend all of your allowed time under the mantel of protection provided by the Island of Occlo. Keep in mind that once this protection is lifted, others in the realm will be free to be as evil or as benevolent to you as they see fit. Trust, but verify. If/when you get a house, make sure you read up on ALL home security precautions. There is really no way to get house looted, unless you allow it. Be well and may the virtues guide you - Jupiter
