Good day, My game name is laretheo and i'm a mage/miner at the moment will probably switch to tamer later down the track. I played UO for 6 years back when it first started, So this is a more than welcomed surprise for me to find this gem of a site. I have played tones of MMORPG's since UO. And I am still waiting for that one RPG that actually takes note of UO and there mechanics to make a great game but everything seems to fail in small ways. I look forward to playing with you all and making good friends

Hi and Welcome to UOR. What Byword said and much more. Glad you like it here, the staff /owners have worked hard to make this UO world fun for all play styles. When you get to the point of running around the world, you will find many player/towns/villages. Hope you enjoy visiting them. You will also come across some interesting locations, Like the Britiania Royal Cemetary. Although , lot of this is custom made for the server, This server doesn't have so many customs that it doesn't feel like UO. As the others have said there is always plenty of activity going on both staff & player wise so you'll never have to worry about a lack of events. When you get time, be sure to check out our Compendium which is accessible from our main http://www.uorenaissance.com webpage. In it you will find all things UO that will be able to answer most of the questions you may have about stats, skills, and character templates amongst a multitude of other things. Another widely used resource is our IRC Channels. They can also be accessed via our main webpage. The link is located on the top left hand corner of the screen. Just click 'IRC Chatroom', Select a name for yourself, then click Connect, and it does the rest by auto connecting you to all the proper channels. Enjoy!
Welcome to the shard! Im the same, played for YEARS and have never found a game that could match what UO was to me - I just discovered Renaissance a few weeks ago and I'm already having a BLAST!
