    Hi all

I've noticed that there currently is no layering functionality on clothing here... for example you can't buy a layered body sash that appears in front of a doublet or a robe. Some shards do this and it looks great (UO Forever do it and I know Defiance when it was active did it, too). Can anyone confirm if this is a thing or if we have yet to see this here? See below an example of what they look like:

    layer.PNG

This is a real game changer in the clothing/tailoring scene because the value of a sash with layering, for example, will go up exponentially. UHS/Dark gray with a blaze sash looks cool af, and was a favourite among many players when I played Defiance.

I don't think this takes long to implement at all, and could be added to tailoring BODs alongside mask dye calibre ones... or even just make them winnable at public events.

What are everyone's thoughts on this? I know I'd be interested to hear the feedback from @Chris on this.

Our layering is how it was back in the day.

Yeah you gotta choose sash, or doublet or tunic or jester... or hide it all with a robe. I voted no because I like how it is. What I'll have to go put sashs over my doublets, will it work on other layers?

She's getting what she deserves for wearing 5 tops.

Yes, exactly! I think a sash that's slightly ligher in hue than the doublet would look great... works with robe, doublet, fancy dress, tunics etc

I think it'd be a cool feature. It doesn't give any edge or advantage in game so i don't mind it at all. Perhaps we could get a deed you could get and select any item and it would automatically go to the top layer of clothing. I'm just really against neon looking weapons

Hey, me too for the most part. I do think blood red, dark grey, etc are fine for the most part though. Just not the blaze and bright coloured stuff

Not being able to use a sash over some cloths makes me sad. I vote yes.

This would be an awesome addition! I have always found that layering limitation frustrating. Is it era accurate? No. But this amazing shard (best one out there!) isn't just about era accuracy. Its about perfection. I would use the crap out of this feature the second it was available.

It would also sink so much gold as well, they would sell for a fortune depending on how scarce they are.

I've no real issues with it as long as players dont end up with 30 layers of clothing on in winter o_O

Hey @Xavant_BR thanks for the feedback. I understand this isn't a priority and there are more worthy implementations to carry out and consider - in no way do I expect this to take precedence over anything. It's a suggestion that doesn't even need considering and is purely cosmetic but if done the right way can be a good gold sink and be a positive for the economy overall. I'm just thankful to get a response really.

    Cheers.

I love it though. I’ve got so much cool shit stashed in bank boxes and random containers that I alternate between wearing but would definitely bowl around like trammel puked all over me if I could.

    speaking of layers...
no one seems to have issue with bone armor protruding out of tunics?
