Had the pleasure of doing one of these recently and they are mighty fun, so I cam here looking for a bit more info on them... How often do they spawn? Are they posted to the message boards in Delucia or Papua? or can they only be found by tracking? Is there a set number of spawn points that can be marked? or are they spawning over a large area based point? Thanks in advance, look forward to doing more of these as they were both challenging and fun!

There are 7 locations that I think it can spawn in T2A. If you have UOAM, I think they are all marked in that program. Be sure to take the black clothing from the boss of the tower; it's the only way to get cloth of that hue. Likewise, there can be some minor mages or mage lords in the tower who have some hue of silver or gray robes; this is the only place to find this hue of cloth as well.
7 spawn location in t2a, 1 in the old lands, and the spawner is at least 12 hours. Not sure if the locations are marked on everyones auto map or just people who opened it before Telamon fixed the map file, they are still marked on mine although they shouldn't be.
What hue exactly are you referring to by black? 1109? I am assuming you aren't referring to pure black IE dyetubs....I haven't done one of these spawns so I have no clue.
I could be wrong but... A few months ago I found a mage tower but then walked away to get a different character. I came back within 2-3 minutes and it was gone. My feeling was if you get one on screen, don't leave it.
Anyone actually find one of these yet? Haven't been able to find any clues. Only PK bounties on the message board at the bank.
that is because you are checking the wrong message board, there is an npc escort/ camp spawn board and a bounty board.
